Christian Student Organization

The Christian Student Organization at Leake Academy was organized to provide students with an opportunity to share their Christian beliefs and serve as role models to others.  It is also a service organization with the purpose of helping those in need.  The club is divided into a senior division for grades 10-12 and a junior division for grades 7-9.

The Senior Christian Student Organization (SCSO) has two annual activities.  On the third Wednesday in September, they sponsor See You at the Pole for the entire student body.  This event involves millions of students around the world who gather together at the flagpole at their schools and pray.  In December the club participates in Operation Christmas Child sponsored by Samaritan's Purse.

The Senior Christian Student Organization sponsored See You at the Pole on September 22. SYATP is a student-led movement which began 20 years ago. This year, students focused on the theme REVEAL based on Matthew 6:9-13. Students were encouraged to lead out in prayer, asking God to reveal who He is to our campus. This year is the 20th anniversary of this event which involves millions of people all around the world. Activities included how SYATP started and its purpose followed by an audio clip and the raising of the flag by 6th grade students. It ended with prayer for our troops, our leadership in the nation, and for our school.
