The Leake Academy toolbar will be useful in receiving announcements about weather alerts, school closures, etc. It will not be used for minor information feeds. Once you have downloaded your toolbar, you should set enable the alerts. There is an option to keep the alerts icon in your tray. You will also notice there is an RSS feed for email to be sent to that spot. If you think we will be sending an alert, you can refresh your toolbar from the options drop down menu beside the words Leake Academy and your alert panel in the tools tray.

Once it has been installed, Conduit assures us that even if you disable the tool bar, you can still get the alerts. We have not tried this feature. You have other options available with the tool bar that you can activate yourself. The tool bar comes with an uninstaller if you decide you do not want to keep it.
