My name is Deanna Prince Jones and I am a 1988 graduate of Leake Academy. I am the daughter of Jimmy and Phyllis Prince of Philadelphia. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1992 with a degree in Elementary Education. I am married to Doug Jones and we reside in Philadelphia, Mississippi. We attend First United Methodist Church. We have four children who attend L.A.--Hannah, a tenth grader, Joshua, a sixth grader, Annika, a fifth grader, and Savannah, a third grader. I taught two years at L.A. before starting a family and being a stay-home mother for fifteen years. Leake Academy holds a lot of history for me-- I was in the first group of girls that formed the Tomorrow's Terrors; I was on the basketball team that won two Overall State Championships, and I was a senior when Mr. Shepard passed away. I am so delighted to be back at L.A. and feel so blessed to be doing what I love.

"I've taught for 36 years--every grade from 1-6. Fifth grade is my favorite grade. This is my eleventh year to teach at Leake Academy. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to teach children and pray He will use me to help them grow in His grace. Teaching is still fun for me; it is a joy to serve God this way."
