Jerry H. Crowe Wins Joe Shepard Award

Jerry H. Crowe, headmaster of Leake Academy, has been selected as the 2008 recipient of the Joe F. Shepard Memorial Service Award by the executive committee of the Mississippi Private School Association.
The award was established in 1989 to honor Joe F. Shepard as an outstanding educator, administrator, teacher and friend of the MPSA.
Each year the award is presented to one MPSA administrator who exemplifies outstanding qualities and who has given his dedication, service, loyalty, and leadership to the MPSA.
The presentation was made at the annual MPSA Administrator's Conference held at Orange Beach, Alabama.
Mr. Crowe received a master degree in school administration from Delta State University. His BSE is also from Delta State University.
Mr. Crowe is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.H.Crowe of Benoit. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Jonne Mabus, resides in Williamsville.
He and his wife, Peggy, life in Madden. They have four children, Kristen, David, Jonathan and Chad, and seven grandchildren.
