Leake Defeats Simpson
At Simpson Tuesday night, LA starting pitcher Allen Johnson pitched a one-hitter after allowing a single to the first batter of the game. A homerun by Justin Moore in the second inning proved to be all the Rebels needed. A two-out single by Adam Byrd increased the lead to 2-0 in the fourth.
Coach Ray said, "We pitched and played just about as well as we could've. That's a tough place to play down there. Hopefully, we can keep it going Thursday."
